"Bent corner" advertizements

  • I put a note into the report problems section, reporting anything I was actively running, plus some details on a few of the background processes as well, to try to id the problem here.

I'm watching the cpu, and it's staying consistently 70-99% firefox usage while here. I can use the same browser window to go elsewhere, and the usage drops to 0.

thanks for the help, and everyone else for letting me know it's not just me

  • I would like to point out that the new Yahoo! email client has a similar bent-corner thing next to their account login info, but theirs DOES NOT move and shimmy and shake like the SSC version. If you do mouse over it, all you get is an unobtrusive little popup that actually provides useful information about protecting your identity and some new choices they offer.

You don't even need a Yahoo email account, just go look at

    mail.yahoo.com

  • I hate it as well, So I udge the window up a bit until it's gone and sideways if there is a an animated advert to the side of the page. Basically I HATE all animation, cursors, adverts etc.
