BCP error

    Hi All,

    I am very new to the sql server. I am using the bcp to import an ascii file to the sql server table. I have created a format file. I am having a two problem.

    1. All the date columns, I have specified as a sqlchar with the value of 26. I am getting an invalid date format error.

    2. The other problem is I am getting i/o error while reading the bcp format file.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Can you post the format file and some sample (non sensitive) data.

    Far away is close at hand in the images of elsewhere.
