Thanks Brian! After further discussions with storage team, found that our backup server is virtual storage machine on a clustered storage system. The storage volumes currently used by backup server including virtual machine itself is replicated to new clustered storage system. If there is a problem during the maintenance it wouldn't be a problem to start on the old cluster.So that means we are covered from redundancy as far as my understanding.
