Hi,
I have gone through many articles on new Auditing feature in brand new SQL Server 2008.
Auditing feautes looks promising to me.
I have a question over backup & restore strategy of an Audit trail associated with an user database?
I came to know that - Auditing feature will keep on recording the audit events in Windows log \ audit log file etc. We are planning to store the events in a log file. Is it possible to associate an audit log file with an user database, so that whenever I do a backup of an user database, this audit log file will be included in backup & it will be restored along with user database on another sql server? We would like to impose such restriction to follow FDA regulation.
