"backup compression default" should be on with DPM?

    Hello,

    We're changing Netbackup to DPM but not sure if "backup compression default" option should be ON or OFF or doesn't matter.

    anyone can help to figure this out?

    It's really up to you guys. I'd recommend enabling compression on the backups due to the space savings. But in 2012 if you have a TDE enabled database, then the compression may not be a benefit to you (e.g. native backup compression doesn't compress with a TDE enabled database but it may with your product).
