Backing up to a Tape SQL SERVER 2005

    Dear folks,

    I am facing a problem. We are using SQLSERVER 2005 in our organisation, which is scheduled to backup to a tape drive at 1 A.M every night.It backsup without any hassles.But the tape is not ejected after backing up.I suppose the tape should eject after backing up.It can only ejected manually that too after viewing the contents once.

    Any help please.

    Not too many people back up directly to tape and I'd recommend you not do this. Send it to disk and then copy to tape if need be. too many issues like this, media failures, etc. with tape.
