Aviod "File Download" dialog box

  • Hello,

When I click, Report button on my .aspx(1) page, it opens a new browser window(2), then it displays the "File Download" dailog box, on click of "Open" on "File Download" box it open the Report in Acrobat Reader(3) in new window.

I want it should open new browser window(2) on click of Report button on .aspx(1) page, but should open the Report in browser window(2), without asking for "File Download" dialog box. It should not open the third window(Acrobat Reader as new window).

I hope you understand what I need.

    Thanks
    Sunil
  • I'm not exactly sure if I am answering your question, but it seems that it is a setting in Acrobat Reader that you are looking for.

Edit --> Preferences --> Internet, then check "Display PDF in Browser"

    Scott

  • Hello Scott,

I tried that also, still the problem is same.

Even in the Explorer I have "confirm open after download" check box unchecked. (Explorer --> Tools --> Folder Otpions --> File Types --> click Advanced button for PDF file type).

    Any more sugestions?

    Thanks,

    Sunil
