Interview?
What does "average active sessions" mean? Is that the average active sessions in the course of a day? Or do you mean simply how to find the active sessions?

Sean is right in that you need to define active. Are these sessions with a connection to SQL Server? Those running?
We could help with a better definition, but you'd also need to explain what you understand or have tried. I don't mind helping you to learn, but not interested in you getting through an interview or homework without the understanding on your part or effort.
