  Is the authentication mode used by SQL held anywhere in a table or accesible through a stored procedure?

  I know it's in the registry and EM properties but can't find it anywhere else. The same goes for the current Audit level. I'd like to be able to pull these values via T-SQL and don't really want to use xp_regread.
