SQL Server 2005
For the last three weeks we've been having random problems with various software not working, then for some reason the problems go away without us doing anything.
I'm not the I.T. guy and know very little about hardware, but I'm guessing the Server hard-drive may be going bad. The Server is over five years old.
All the software runs locally on PC's and all the data is fetched off the network. But it's up to the network to make sure the latest version of the software is running.
Sorry I can't give more details. I know very little about Servers, etc.
Thanks,
Dennis

That's a little vague to go on.
The apps use SQL Server?
Got any example error messages ? (especially SQL error log or windows event log)?
Got backups?
