Hello,
I need replicate a customer's environment to develop a simple web system running on a windows 2003 machine with sql server 2000.
I can find windows 2003 but not sql server 2000.
Can any one advise.

Given that mainstream support for SQL 2000 ended 04/08/2008, I don't think you will find any.
I can't think of any reason a vendor would want to offer this, there is a fairly significant risk to them given that if there is a problem they can't really get support.
My best advice is to tell whoever wants this that the jig is up, upgrade or abandon the product. Its 2011, SQL 2000 is 11 years old, there have been THREE versions since. They are just setting themselves up for failure.

I do agree with Elliot, but as an alternative, can't you use SQL 2000 Desktop Engine? It is still available for download from MSDN.
