I would like to know what is the best practice with regards to maintaining a subset of data from a data warehouse.
For example we produce several financial reports for June 2008 on 1st July 2008. The warehouse may change slightly after this due to a late arriving record. Would it be best to take a backup of the database and store it somewhere for audit purposes or is this quite long winded?
