Is anyone using VIA (Virtual Interface Architecture) cards in their servers, the cpu benefits seem to be huge but you don't hear much about them

Have looked into it but the reviews I read 2 years ago were that it was buggy.
However the reported savings on CPU is so great I am surprised no one is using them.
