My company is considering buying Polyserve to do some consolidation/HA.
HP did the product demo and it is fairly impressive, but then I am a cynical person that expects that when a company is demoing their own software.... So, anyone have any first hand experience with it that are willing to give some feedback?

Yes I use Polyserve and it works, as advertised.
If your running 100's of SQL Servers or even anything more than 20-30, you need a solution, as you can't effectively manage capacity and provide high availability to that many servers without it.

You may also want to look at Sanbolic Melio as a great alternative to Polyserve (now that Polyserve has been end-of-lifed). More info at http://www.sanbolic.com.
