  Hi,

  I am trying to register a remote server from client machine. I have SP3 on server and client analysis servers and I am in OLAP Administrators group on both machines and my Remote registry services on both machines are started but I still get an error "Unable to connect to the registry ('servername'), or you may not be a member of the OLAP administrators group on 'servername'.

  Someone please tell me where I am doing wrong and why can't I register to the analysis server. Another user from the other server could easily connect to my analysis server.

  Any help is greatly appreciated.

  I figured it out myself. My patch installation was not proper earlier....I redid the installation for service pack..and hurray! it works fine now.
