Analysis server connectivity Problem

  Unable to connect to Analysis server through Named Instance (succesfully connected through default though)

  Error Message:

  No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it xxx.:2382 (system)

  FYI: Server Browser is running. Analysis server installed from Sql server 2008 and Named instance installed from Sql Server 2008.

  Created Port 2382 in windows firewall through Add Port. Changed Server Browser's Log on to Local System and Start mode to Automatic.

  Enabled TCP/IP in Protocols for the named instance in SQL Server Network configuration in configuration manager.

  (no use....)

  Actually there was an error deploying Cube to my named instance

  (I was hoping if the above issue gets resolved then i could successfully deploy my cube).

  Error 17 The project could not be deployed to the 'named Instance' server because of the following connectivity problems :

  A connection cannot be made to redirector. Ensure that 'SQL Browser' service is running.

  To verify or update the name of the target server, right-click on the project in Solution Explorer, select Project Properties,

  click on the Deployment tab, and then enter the name of the server.

  Please throw some insight on this....I am a newbie btn.....
