Alwayson group missing from primary replica

  The alwayson group from the primary replica disappeared all of a sudden and the database went to restoring state. We are still able to connect with the listener name but the AG role is in a failed state.

  How do  you add the primary replica back to AG? Do I need to drop and recreate AG again?

  Is there a simple way to do this?
