Hi,
We have a consultant working on setting up a process to transfer data from SQL Server to Oracle. When he tries to use a connection manager to Oracle in SSIS, he gets the error "Test connection failed because of error in initializing provider. ORA-01019; unable to allocate memory in the user side." The connection works fine for me.
I'm assuming this is a permission issue, but I don't work to grant him admin rights on our server. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks.

have you tried running it in 32 bit mode on the server?

It's a 32-bit system.
We're going to create a separate development server with just the database the consultant needs, so we can give him admin rights on that. That solves our problem, but I'm still curious if one needs to be in the server admin group to develop packages in SQL Server.
