Has anyone been able to get Adobe's 64 bit pdf IFilter to work with SQL Server 2005?
I am running :Microsoft SQL Server 2005 - 9.00.1406.00 (X64)
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition R2
I've seen posts related to installing it on MOSS, but I just get errors when trying to install it on sql server. Some of the errors are:
Warning: No appropriate filter was found during full-text index population for table or indexed view '[ART R11 Development].[dbo].[tbl_MediaContent]' (table or indexed view ID '18', database ID '739533718'), full-text key value 0x0003F05F. Some columns of the row were not indexed.
The component 'MSFTE.DLL' reported error while indexing. Component path 'C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\MSFTE.DLL'.
I can get as far as having the filter registered in sql server (the line below appears in the list of filters if I run select * from sys.fulltext_document_types)
.pdfE73A7893-AEDE-4865-BE91-5AE80BA5932EC:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 9.0\Reader\pdffilter64.dll1.0.0.1Adobe Systems Inc.
But that's as far as I get. If I restart sql server and fulltext serch and rebuild the catalog, pdf files are still not searched.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
