Admin permissions to start replication agents

    I need to be able to set up a user to be able to start/stop replication agents on one of my servers - but they should not be in the System Admin role. I have tried mapping them to the 'replmonitor' role in the distribution database but this only enables monitoring and not actual execution.

    Any ideas?

    Give them a process that inserts a row in a table, run a job that checks and manages the agents. Right now I do the same thing using Outlook, checking each incoming message for a subject that tells me what needs to be replicated.
