We have a situation where Report Manager cannot be currently accessed due to IP / Firewall issues. But I need to add a login with Browser permission before I forget about it. Google just keeps pointing me to the Report Manager solution (i.e., adding it through the webpage).
I can't, at this time, fix the issue through the webpage. Does anyone have any suggestions on where else I can go to get the login added to reporting services with Browser permission?

Are you accessing the report manager internally on the server that has SSRS installed or externally?. If the there is firewall issues connecting externally, you can RDP to the server to access internally & add the users.

I was looking for a work around that doesn't use Report Manager at all.
The issue is now resolved, though. Turns out SSRS was configured during install, which added the instance name to the databases. Someone renamed the databases and repointed SSRS to the renamed databases, but apparently there are internal procs and stuff that point to the old DB names. So we had to stop the services, delete the DBs, restart the services and create new databases for SSRS to get Report Manager to come up.
Still, it would be nice to know (for future reference) if there is a way to fix these perms without using Report Manager at all (either externally or internally). Thoughts?
