Hi,
we use windows2003std and SQL2000 Enterprise Edition.
We want add more ram cause the database is growing a lot. ( now 3 gb ram, we want 12 gb )
I guess i must update to Windows 2003 Entprise Edition or i wrong ??

std is limited to 4gb unless you go 64bit R2 which supports 32gb ram

i will upgrade to w2k3 enterprise who can handle 32 gig also.

actually with R2 Enterprise it's now 64Gb

... and once you get the OS lined up don't forget:
/PAE boot startup configuration option
and
"Lock Pages in Memory" in the Local Security Policy settings
as well as letting SQL Server know you want to use the additional RAM.
