Adding 2nd Transaction Log File to Mirrored Database

  • If I want to added second transaction log to a mirrored database (doing it from Principle side).

    Do I have to:

    1. First break the mirror

    2. Add 2nd Transaction Log somewhere (another drive like I:\ or etc)

    3. Rebuild the mirror

    Thanks!

  • Add it to the principal and ensure that the file path exists on the mirror.

Why are you adding a second log file?
