Hello friends,
Can I add Integration Services to an Existing Instance of SQL Server 2005 while its in use. I dont want to have to schedule a down-time of the server if i dont need to.

If it were me I would not take the advice of anyone on a forum for this one. If you have a dev environment, try it there first and find out for yourself.

I would think you don't have to restart the database engine, as the SSIS service only monitors folders and package executions, but don't take my word on it.

For the record and to those who are interested.
You can installed SSIS components to SQL without interupting the normal service.
Cheers
