Activity Monitor - Category Does Not Exist

    If you dint fix your error.

    Still you can get the activity monitor info

    Was just wondering if anyone has found a fix to this issue... I am getting the following error when I open Activity Monitor. My account is a sysadmin for the server.

    TITLE: Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

    ------------------------------

    The Activity Monitor is unable to execute queries against server DEVSRV.

    Activity Monitor for this instance will be placed into a paused state.

    Use the context menu in the overview pane to resume the Activity Monitor.
