Hello, I am looking to create a script that will use database mail to send a user an activation link after they sign up and register onto a website.
As what happens to happen on many websites, when the user clicks on the email sent, the account will update the database to set the account to "Active".
Can anyone provide a script or tutorial link on how to accomplish this? I have not found a great one while searching.
Many thanks in advance.

Why not handle that in the application layer? I would suggest that would be the normal place to do so.
As for writing a script, we're not here to do your work for your, however, we also have no details of what your data looks like, the process, the web page your expecting the user to visit, what code you've already written, etc. We can help you if you're getting stuck with a particular part, but we can't design and write the application and SQL parts for you (well we could, but it's unlikely anyone would do that for free).
As for finding a tutorial, most of us would probably perform a Google/Bing/Yahoo/etc search. Did you have any luck there? Perhaps you found one a day didn't understand it? If so, what part did you get stuck at and what was it that you didn't understand?
Thom~
Excuse my typos and sometimes awful grammar. My fingers work faster than my brain does.
