403 Forbidden

    I created a post (or tried) in the 2022 Admin forum.

    Mot sure either. We've been having some DDOS attacks. 900 req/s to the load balancers at one point, overwhelming things.

    they did some work on nginx to block some URLs, mostly old ones that it looked like crawlers were using. This might have been caught up, but since I can't see the post, no idea.

    Phil, how did you get that URL? Was it something from your profile or somewhere on the site? Those are old style URls, that we've blocked.

    I wish you'd asked me at the time, as my medium-term memory only works for a few hours these days!

    What I think happened was I tried to create a detailed post containing a hyperlink and that failed, with a non-specific error. Tried again, failed again. Then created a post with the content 'test' and that posted OK. So I edited that and tried to add back my original content. Error – duplicate content (Can't remember the exact text, but that was the gist). At some point in this mess, I started getting the 403 Forbidden nginx screen and that was the end of the post.

    I am going to try to recreate the post tomorrow, as I still have the change tracking issue I was originally posting about. If I encounter the same issue, I'll post back here with more accurate details.

    Thanks, and I get it. The team is trying to figure things out. If you can repro, that would be great.
