Hello, I have 3 SQL Server 2000 boxes that are running Windows 2003 EE and SQL 2000 EE. Memory installed is between 12-16GB. I have /3GB /PAE switches enabled in boot.ini
Servers are used for Oracle Enterprise1, EPR application. E1 logic runs on 2 of the database servers. I have one install that splits this up with just a DB server and a separate application/E1 logic server.
I was looking at the Memory object, free system page table entries counter on all 3 servers and noticed that it is around 2000. I have read a lot about this and found that this should never go below 7000 or the OS can become unstable. If I remove the 3GB switch this value goes up to over 20,000.
So my questions is do I need to worry about this? Any guidance/experiences you can share with me will be most appreciated.
Thanks
Bryan
