I have a SQL2005 32-bit Server. I installed the Oracle 11gR2 32-bit Client. I then created a LINKED SERVER within SQL2005 to that Oracle database using the "Oracle Provider for OLE DB" PROVIDER. It works great!
Now I have a SQL2005 64-bit Server (Operating System and SQL2005 are both 64-bit). I need to create a LINKED SERVER to that same Oracle database I did on the 32-bit Server.
My question is: do I install the same Oracle 11gR2 32-bit Client on this SQL2005 64-bit Server (like I did on the SQL2005 32-bit Server)? Or do I find a 64-bit Oracle 11gR2 Client to install on my SQL2005 64-bit Server?
...thanks in advance

I would choose 64-bit to minimize 64-to-32 bit conversions
