I need to setup a SQL 2016 Standard that will be core licensed.
MS has a 2016 Enterprise Core install, but not for Standard is it just a matter of entering a product key?
Also, can I just do a normal install and change it later once we have the core license?
Edit: Found this is it just a matter of doing an edition upgrade?

It's a separate download and install. We have MSDN/Visual Studio subscriptions to download from.

Yeah i was looking on my.visualstudio.com/downloads and there are only Core installs for Enterprise edition.
When searching for SQL Server 2016 Standard it lists 3 downloads
SQL Server 2016 Standard
SQL Server 2016 Standard with Service Pack 1
SQL Server 2016 Standard with Service Pack 2
I also checked SQL 2012 and don't see any, however i have a saved file from a 2012 standard Core install... so i'm just confused.
We generally do Server/CAL, but have a couple apps that require Core so the last time we did a core setup was like 6 years ago.
