T-SQL Tuesday #129 – Let’s Build a Time Capsule

,

T-SQL TuesdayIt is time for another T-SQL Tuesday! Thank you Tamera Clark (t|b) for hosting this month. This month we are building a Time Capsule. I decided to make mine personal for two reasons if I were to try to include the #SQLFamily this might turn into a book with all the people that have been part of life in the community and if I try to do tech it would be old and nobody would care.  So this is going to be a topic I have talked about before for T-SQL Tuesday #99 and T-SQL Tuesday #111.  I have advocated now for 18 years as a Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected foster children’s best interest in court.  I would simply like to put a picture of each kid I have advocated for which is up to 51 at the moment in the time capsule so they can be remembered and whomever finds the time capsule can carry on where I left off.

Volunteering in all the capacities that I do gives me purpose.  I volunteer on a mental health council, in the SQL Community, in my local church, and the local NAMI chapter but being a Guardian ad Litem is the most rewarding because I can help I child that was just like me through a tough time in their life and hopefully make it better.  As I put in my status in places “Making a difference somewhere…”.  Right not it says “Making a difference somewhere…maybe less so during the pandemic”, but I’m still plugging away with the limitations in place to make things better for others.  No one should have to go through tough times alone, resources should always be available to help.  If I’ve perked any interest in the Guardian ad Litem program read this post T-SQL Tuesday #111.

If nothing else my time capsule will take up very little space ??
