It seems that any emerging technology nowadays will ride a hype train. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is no different. We’ve made a lot of strides recently. For those who are familiar with AI’s history, there have been “winters” where funding and progress were miniscule by comparison.
There’s a great article from MIT Technology Review about resetting on the hype of AI. AI’s current state is somewhere between the die hard evangelists and the doomsayers. When it comes to AI, I’m going to recommend the approach espoused by Jocko Willink, “Relax. Look around. Make a call.”
