    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your comments, I think its Individual choice and way of working, with how minimum down time you want to move your server.

    Thanks
    Subhash

Just to be sure, in no way was my suggestion of using CDOSYS an argument against you or your good article.  It was only meant as an alternative, especially if there's a reason why mail couldn't be setup using traditional methods.  An example of such a reason is in older fail-over clusters where the people large-and-in-charge won't do a fail-over so you can setup email on the fail-over node(s) but you still need email to work.  I've had to use it so many times at so many companies so that the "DBA Morning Reports" that I build for folks will actually work for sure that it's become a bit of a de facto standard for me.  If traditional methods work for whatever system you're trying to stand up, then your good scripts will be mighty handy.  Thank you for taking the time to write and publish the article about them.

RBAR is pronounced "ree-bar" and is a "Modenism" for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
________Stop thinking about what you want to do to a ROW... think, instead, of what you want to do to a COLUMN.

Change is inevitable... Change for the better is not.
