Is there any explanation in the SQL Server Log?

I think the orginal database (in SS2K) has issues. Have you run DBCC CHECKDB before taking backup?

There is problem with the table 'postnet.TempLan_Details'

Run DBCC CHECKTABLE on TempLan_Details' with REPAIR_REBUILD or REPAIR_FAST

After this still if you are facing the problem,

1. Drop and recreate the indexes on the table

Take the backup of the database before doing all these things.
