Errodumps consuming space

  • Hi Experts,
We are facing space issue due to Errordumps getting created in the following folder:
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\110\Shared\ErrorDumps
After a bit of googling came to know these are because of generating dump files for package execution.
Could you please help me in disabling the error dumps or finding out the root cause.
The SQL Error log does not have any information on why the dumps are getting generated except few AppDomain unloading due to memory pressure.
    SQL Server Version: 2012 SP3

    Regards,
    Dev

  • Looks like the "Dump on errors" option has been enabled in the Execute Package Dialog box.

check out the link:Generating Dump Files for Package Execution

Found this top of the Google Search Result.

    Cheers

  • Hi Leo,
Thanks for your reply and pointers. I had found this earlier and got to know that the Dumps are related to SSIS package execution. I am not pretty familiar with SSIS. I was looking for any option if I can disable it. I'll check if "Dump on Errors" option can be unchecked.

    Thanks,
    Dev
