Dear Readers / Admins,

I want to post an article about installation, setup and post configuration with detail steps including screen captures accessing hadoop hive data from SQL Server 2016 using polybase scale out architecture and MPP technique (multi parllel processing). This will be both ORC and Parquet format (FYI - I use hortonworks for this)

This article I will also include trouble shooting steps and accessing json docukents copied in hadoop HDFS directly in relational (deserialzed) format using JSON functions in SQL Server 2016.

Please let me know if this will be of interest for the community.

Regards,
Venu S.

If you look under "Contacts" on the vertical menu at the left of this screen, you'll find the best way to contact the folks for article ideas is to send an email to articles@sqlservercentral.com

RBAR is pronounced ree-bar and is a Modenism for Row-By-Agonizing-Row.
First step towards the paradigm shift of writing Set Based code:
Stop thinking about what you want to do to a row... think, instead, of what you want to do to a column.
If you think its expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur. -- Red Adair

When you put the right degree of spin on it, the number 318 is also a glyph that describes the nature of a DBAs job. Wink
