Can I get an article that shows how to connect to an Excel sheet and read data. Feel free to make this a 2 or 3 part piece. separate articles

PArt 1 - use a linked server
Part 2 - use openrowset
part 3 - implications, maybe show issues with locking or performance from the server.

Oooo.... I've got an awesome one that automatically adjusts for changes in the spreadsheet with no changes to the code. Have done a presentation on it a couple of times. I'm almost done with one for RAND(X) to add to David Poole's. Trying to get back into writing articles on a bit more regular basis and whether or not anyone picks up on this one, I'll also take this one on.

Shifting gears, I still can't paste in the contribution center. Am I the only one with that problem? If so, any hints on what might be wrong with my machine.

Stop thinking about what you want to do to a row... think, instead, of what you want to do to a column.

Email the article(s), and feel free to focus separate pieces on a smaller part.

The problem isn't with your machine. Probably in the chair in front of it.

Probably not, wise guy. ;-) Copy from Word and paste using your WORD paste icon has always worked for me in the past. It doesn't now and hasn't since the bloody SPAM eliminator that doesn't actually work properly started eliminating my posts.
