  • can u Please give me a tip or clue on how to solve this problem:

Cluster resource 'SQL Server 7.0' failed.

Do you have any clues on how to solve this problem?

When I switch on both nodes, the cluster manager tool keeps on switching the resources from one node to another trying to start the SQL Server Agent 7.0 to no avail.

If u have any tips on this, I will be very greatful.

  • Is this a windows 2000 cluster? More info on your setup would help us find an answer.

    Thanks,

    Wes

  • yes it is a windows 2000 cluster. Its an Active-Passive cluster.

  • Check your cluster log and the sqlserver-log regarding what is going on and where it fails.
