Connection Error

    Hi,

    I have downloaded the SQL Server Toad exe as instructed. I do not have the client SQL server installed therefore I followed instructions on how to register the DMO dll's.

    I have setup a connection to my remote database and used the Test Connection button and it connects successfully.

    However, when I try to connect using my saved connection I get the following error:

    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory] SQL Server does not exist or access denied.

    [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][Shared Memory] ConnectionOpen(Connect())

    Please help !!

    Are you sure that the service is still started?

    Which Authentication mode are you using?

    What user are you trying to connect under?

    Hi,

    It's ok I have now found amuch better tool which suits my needs perfectly: MS SQL Manager Lite
