Hi all, I've just had to roll back my SSMS 22 version from 22.3.0, because this version seems to crash as soon as I open it (just after selecting an instance to connect to).
Anyone else having any issues with 22.3.0?

I just update from 22.0.0 to 22.3.0 and no issues.

No problems with 22.3.0. No extensions. Responds quicker overall

I have the exact issue after upgrading to 22.3.0. It keeps freezing and crashing when I attempt to establish a new connection.
I have all RedGate extensions (SQLToolBelt Essentials with SQLPrompt, etc.) I suspect one of the extensions is causing it.
I had to roll back to the previous 22.2.1 for now.

I get "The SqlSearchSsmsPackage package did not load correctly" error after upgrading to SSMS 22.3. And when I attempt to add a connection to Object Explorer it shuts down and restarts. And yes, I have SQLPrompt 11 installed.

Yep, same for 22.3.0. I get "The SqlSearchSsmsPackage package did not load correctly" too. I then uninstalled it, which of course removed the error, but I also have SQL Prompt and SQL Source Control... something there causes crashes after a few moments of being open.
Had to revert back to SSMS 22.2 or whatever last version was.

I received the following information about this issue from the author of SSMS Tools (Mladen):
It is an issue with extensions because they internally upgraded the assemblies.
They moved to newer sqlclient version.
So the assemblies referenced in the addin dlls are not found any more.
