  I’m trying to merge sql data and excel data to an excel spreadsheet. Is there a way to do this?

  SSIS can do it.

  Create a dataflow with

  Source 1: SQL Server

  Source 2: Excel

  Destination: Excel

  Inside your (source --> destination) dataflow, perform the merge, probably using a MERGE JOIN component.

  PowerQuery can get data from your database. then merge. Depends on what tools you have available.
