  • RE: One user cannot access one form

Latest attempt at getting it working:

One of my bosses said that Access throws temp files all over the place, and that perhaps one of them was hosed.  I cleared out...

  • RE: SQL Server 2005 Books

THAT is simply UGLY!  I'm not looking forward to the testing that I'm going to have to go through when we start migrating.

  • RE: Huh? Enterprise Manager will not open.

Very cool! Important thing to try and remember. I wish I'd known of this before deleting my profile, I'd forgotten about my browser bookmarks and lost a lot...

  • RE: Insert images in SQL Server

I've used Access to do it as I'm a lazy SOB when it comes to coding. I love writing T-SQL, hate writing VB. It's balky and a bit...

  • RE: Free E-Learning on SQL Server 2005 from Microsoft

Yup. I avoid IE whenever possible. I've had a couple of other problems with it, such as when I use the cpanel applet to manage my web site...

  • RE: Winzip Problem with xp_cmdshell

I'd never want to go back to 8.3, I remember those days all too vividly. I would just like to tweak the file system drivers to make spaces an...

  • RE: Why say ''''an SQL''''

And then for us multi-talented SQL and Cisco guys, you have routers. Or if you're in Canadia, "rooters." I'm never sure if I'm driving a route or a...

  • RE: SQL Assertion error

If you're still having a problem.... (I was out of town the month of June and am catching up)

Lots of stuff can cause dumps, still, they are normally fairly rare....

  • RE: Winzip Problem with xp_cmdshell

This is probably the single thing that I hate most about MS: allowing spaces in file names and directories. I'd love to see a directory patch that would disallow...

  • RE: How does a p[ower faulire affect a SQL Server database?

I wonder if you could rent a medium/big UPS, say, for a week, that would be sufficient to keep servers up for long enough to do an orderly shutdown or...

  • RE: Free E-Learning on SQL Server 2005 from Microsoft

Interesting. I find it amusing that I get a certificate popup when I access the site. 🙂

Still, looks quite useful. I shall spread it around.

  • RE: How does a p[ower faulire affect a SQL Server database?

Personally, I'd have small UPSs on the boxes that you are most concerned about. Usually SQL does a great job of rolling transactions back and forth and everything comes...

  • RE: iPod Slurping

This is an old problem, it's enhanced now that people have started programming their iPods, but it's been around since iPod #1 came out.

Probably within a month of their retail...
