    I agree - just pleased I remembered that I was on a 2016 instance, test, no 2016 prod servers here, and I could do that.

    Hi again,

    I think i've just worked this out... its spills.

    I've not noticed in the past but on checking some execution plans there are spill warnings for tempdb.

    There are no dumb questions, only dumb decisions. Whoever designed the MSDB job activity tables didn't make the temporal columns as user friendly as they could be.
