  • RE: Which plan is better?

Thanks! I guess I Was looking too much into the last subtree cost and seeing the separate plans made me think that the separate would be better, but I suppose...

  • RE: High SOS_SCHEDULER_YIELD wait time and wait counts

Thanks everyone! I got some great ideas from SQLCruise to integrate with the suggestions here. This way I can nail down the culprits as well as get a better handle...

    Perry Whittle (1/28/2015)

You are correct a fileshare witness does not hold a full copy of the cluster database, it's really designed for stretched clusters. Since you're not planning this here...

  • RE: 2 SQL FCIs and 1 HAG

    Hi Perry,

It will not be multi-site, quorum will be a disk since it is not multi-site, and the only reason it will be FCI on the reporting side is because...

  • RE: 2 SQL FCIs and 1 HAG

    Hi Perry,

Let me clarify, as I believe I didn't do such a good job. The OS is Windows Server 2012R2 (Not SQL lol). My bad... Edited to make clearer above....

  • RE: Copy SSRS reports from Dev to Stage to Prod.

We used RSScripter, by Jasper Smith, and it worked really well for us. Can't find an original link, but Google gives many results and reviews.

  • RE: Failover Cluster in SQL 2012 in not auto switch when stop service SQL

Can you expand under "Other Resources", I believe there should not be anything expandable, but only one entry. The only resource in your cluster is the availability group, right? Also,...

    Hi,

We use SQL Server 2012 sp1.

We want to install a feature that we did not install the first time.

  • RE: High PLE and raising... but Paging up to 120/sec?

So... Idera described what I was looking at as "It is the sum of Memory\ Pages Input/sec and Memory\ Pages Output/sec. " So, I now know that PLE going up...

    sqlslacker (10/24/2014)

I'm a developer so I'm a little biased, but I'm not sure that "right-sizing" memory is the best approach. Memory is a relatively cheap way to increase performance for...

  • RE: High PLE and raising... but Paging up to 120/sec?

It looks like this is "the dynamic memory currently in use by SQL." I'll be honest, I'm not really sure I understand what that means other than it is SQL...

  • RE: High PLE and raising... but Paging up to 120/sec?

Good question. This is through Idera's SQLdm and was defined as "the number of pages being swapped in and out of memory per second."

I assumed this meant pages of...
