If you're going to use the decimal data type, you should probably go to 4 decimal places. There is rounding that needs to take place behind the scenes....

Thanks Guys. I think decimal(9,2) is adequate....and it uses only 5 bytes.

The only problem :

when summing large numbers of rows....that could result in overflow if it is not...

When is the last time you updated your statistics? The stats on DataMaster seem to be very stale. The plan estimated 1094 rows but found 1.1 Million when it executed....

How about as an attachment instead? I doubt anybody is going to waste their time piecing that back together into something usable.
