No of course shrinking the data files ends in fragmented indexes.

I know that .shrinking the data file uses a lot of log space.

Do you have enough space in your log file? does the drive your log file is located have enough space for log file growth? shrinking logs a lot of things

I just past the exam today with 900 from 1000 which I didn't think I would be able.

I updated the statistics on all related tables but nothing changed. The main query is like this: select feild1,field2,... from T1 inner join T2 on T1.key=T2.key inner join T3 on...

I forgot to tell this query was working fine until 2 days ago but all of the sudden it takes 20 second to be executed.
Two tables are being join together...
