Think you can do it with a UNION query – something like:

select name, max(last_seen)

from test

group by name

union

select t1.name, max(t1.last_seen)

from test t1

inner join test t2

on t1.name = t2.name

where t1.last_seen < t2.last_seen

group by...

What error message do you get when the browser won't connect?
