The cluster Client access point is not required for the AG, however for cluster management purposes you will need to ensure you have an IP assignment for each subnet

Long story short the infrastructure group seems to think that VM snapshots are all we need for SQL backups.
Theyre good for the OS drives but not for sql server...

are you trying to test the process required to recover from a complete server failure, one that's completely lost?
Are you testing other more realistic DR scenarios too, don't just concentrate...

His understanding is as follows :A snapshot when created only holds physical database pages that have been updated since the snapshot has been created.
This is not entirely correct....

Will moving cluster group from node1 to node2 break anything?
Depends if it's been configured correctly?
Moving a cluster role between nodes should otherwise be trouble free apart from the obvious...
