failover time with clustering = less than 1 minute more than 30 seconds.
I have deployed previous clusters that can failover 2 instances of SQL server in around 15-20...

How is it a misconception? The target is a 3 node cluster - at any time two will be Active, and one will be Passive, thus Active/Active/Passive....

Just reboot the node it will automatically failover any services, no need to do it manually!
