did you use group based or SID based security?
The agent and sql service accounts are default sysadmins. Using SID based security secures this and stops people from dropping...

You only needed to launch the "configure cluster quorum settings" wizard, select node maj and file share option, supply the new server name and share and this will re configure...

So you have a physical cluster that is clustered using VCS and you want to virtualise it, is that correct?

you may mirror mydb as long as it has no filestream filegroups, this is detailed in Books Online
